Weather data from the ground monitoring network undergoes a multi-stage quality assurance process. We are involved in all phases of quality assurance, in the quality assurance of the sensor technology at the station, the data acquisition, the transmission and the consistency check.

As developers of the QualiMET data checking and monitoring system, we have many years of experience in quality assurance, evaluation and the graphical and tabular presentation of location- and time-related meteorological data.

Within the framework of quality assurance, we have excellent experience in the development and implementation of complex algorithms, which are used, among other things, to generate substitute and comparative values for eye observation values on the basis of automatically recorded sensor values.

The entire inspection process mapped in the system is largely configurable, both in terms of the data to be inspected and the inspection rules to be applied and their parameters, such as extreme and threshold values. In addition, extensive statistics are recorded as part of the data check, which allow detailed monitoring of the quality assurance process, both with regard to the quality of the input data and the processing of the data in the QualiMET system itself.

We are happy to contribute the experience we have built up in other areas, for example in checking the spatial and temporal consistency of other measurement parameters. For example, we have successfully adapted the QualiMET system to the radioactivity monitoring network. It can also be applied to maritime data or measurement data from other areas.
