We design customized planning tools for traffic planners, for example in traffic management. For example, forward-looking planning of construction measures on highways and expressways, taking into account the forecast traffic volume and the load on the road network, can contribute to a considerable reduction in traffic jams.

We have developed and integrated a planning component for our roadworks management systems that enables traffic planners to coordinate the individual phases of roadworks on freeways and expressways in such a way that the disruption to traffic is kept to a minimum.

For this purpose, the disruptions are calculated from forecast data for the respective days, taking into account other roadworks on the route network, and meaningful characteristic values are determined. These are clearly presented on a map, in time series and/or tables.

Changes made by the traffic planners are immediately recalculated in the planning component in order to visualize the effects directly.

During roadworks, traffic flow measurements are also used to continuously monitor the traffic network, enabling traffic engineers to take appropriate measures.
